Baked Sandwiches With Parsley And Cheese

Today I went to get myself breakfast when I chanced upon these tasty sandwiches.  And since I was looking for something that would fill me up, but be healthy, these looked like the perfect choice. Continue reading to find out why…

These sandwiches are comprised of low-fat white cheese, parsley, and small buns. Surprisingly this combination of simple ingredients was quite tasty.

Benefits of Low-fat White Cheese

Low-fat white cheese is obviously low in fat like it says in its name. But also it is high in calcium which is good for strengthening your bones and teeth, as are other dairy products. How high in calcium is it exactly?  Well, just 1 ounce of low-fat white cheese contains 202 milligrams. Which is actually 20%  of the recommended daily intake of this nutrient. That is the daily suggested intake of this nutrient is 1000 milligrams.  The body uses calcium not only to strengthen your bones and teeth, but also to perform metabolic functions such as hormone release, nerve transmission, and muscle function.

Another benefit of low-fat white cheese is that it has a rich protein content. Just 1 ounce contains  7 grams of protein. By eating white cheese, as with other food rich in protein, it will help you with your body composition. Research also points to the fact that protein encourages satiety and a high metabolic rate, so it keeps fat at bay. Protein is also a source of amino acids, the building blocks of muscle.

Low-fat white cheese is also low in carbohydrates. In fact, it contains less than .5 grams per ounce. Making it very suitable for even the lowest carbohydrate diets, which can be of particular interest to you, if you’re trying to lose weight. Low carbohydrate diets are great for fat and weight loss and help you maintain your strength if you exercise regularly during your weight-loss process.

You think we’re done? Think again.

Low In Calories

White cheese is also low in calories. It contains only 114 calories per 1 ounce. It contains less than 6 percent of the allotted calories in an average 2,000-calorie diet, so it can be included in plenty of diets. If losing weight is your goal, then you can burn the calories in low-fat white cheese very quickly.  Just eight minutes or less of rollerblading or somewhere less than 10 minutes of jumping rope would burn 114 calories.

Moderately Rich in Vitamin A

Low-fat white cheese contains 75 micrograms of vitamin A in each 1-ounce serving. This contains 8 percent of what is the recommended daily intake for men and 11 percent for women. Vitamin A helps promote healthy eyes, mucous membranes, and skeletal tissue, as well skin tissue.
